About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Strategic CDC/SOC Consultant to lead consulting engagements and deliver results that align with our clients' needs and risk profiles. In this role, you'll develop Cyber Defense Center (CDC) and Security Operations Center (SOC) policies, procedures, and standards that are in line with industry best practices. You'll also advise clients on infrastructure business strategies and roadmaps for CDC and SOC technologies, develop logging and monitoring strategies, and identify performance enhancement opportunities for client CDC and SOC programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of consulting engagements and development of deliverables from start to finish, working with other team members to produce prioritized results aligned to client needs and risk profiles.
- Develop CDC and SOC policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry best practices, and advise clients on infrastructure business strategies and roadmaps for CDC and SOC technologies.
- Conduct security reviews and maturity assessments across technology and business teams to address cyber risk, providing clear and organized risk findings and recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate with clients' cybersecurity engineers to improve monitoring, detection, tooling, and integrations, and advise on technologies relied upon by the clients' CDC, SOC, and Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT).
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective cybersecurity controls and measures, and identify performance enhancement opportunities for client CDC and SOC programs.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of experience assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions and programs across security domains.
- At least 4 years of experience delivering cyber outcomes, identifying risks, and devising solutions to combat public sector-focused threats.
- At least 4 years of experience with CDC and SOC programs.
- The ability to travel up to 20% of the time as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
To stand out as a candidate, you'll ideally have:
- Certifications related to specific cloud platforms, such as CCSP or CCSK, or other industry certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
- Experience with cloud governance, with the ability to convey governance principles to cloud computing in terms of policies.
- Experience implementing industry-leading practices around cyber risks and cloud security for clients' cloud security frameworks using industry standards.
- Experience with security tools and operations.
- Excellent time management and project management skills.

Compensation and Benefits
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$193,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
