Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (or in a state-approved certification program recognized by the MDE) • Experience in classroom teaching within a school district (preferred) • Preferred endorsements: Learning Disabilities (SM) and/or Cognitive Impairment (SA) • Thorough understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations for students with disabilities Core Responsibilities: • Provide direct and indirect support for students with disabilities in resource room settings • Use specialized instructional methods to support development in sensory, motor, language, and cognitive skill areas • Deliver engaging lessons in core content areas utilizing multisensory, phonics-based, and repetitive teaching techniques • Implement and monitor students’ IEP goals with positive behavior supports • Adapt and modify curriculum to align with individual learning profiles • Collaborate closely with general education staff, related service providers, administrators, and families • Maintain records to ensure compliance with special education mandates Immerse yourself in a supportive and inclusive school culture, where your passion and skills will make a lasting impact.
