We are seeking an Underwriting Specialist in Brokerage Excess to help us provide insurance solutions that balance customer needs with business goals. As an ideal candidate, you will have experience underwriting Brokerage Excess risks and be able to analyze complex risk and find insurance solutions. You will work in a fast-paced environment in a collaborative, team-oriented culture, and will be responsible for determining individual risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms and conditions, and achieving production and loss ratio goals with assigned brokers or program managers.
Requirements
- 5 years as a CL underwriter
- excess & surplus lines experience preferred
- knowledge of CL underwriting policies, practices and procedures
- insurance law and underwriting marketing principles and techniques
- Rating plans and plan concepts
- Treaty & Cultivate reinsurance concepts
- wholesale broker system and company operations
- regulatory issues, the general agency system, market conditions and company operations
