Key Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans. • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups, utilizing methodologies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy. • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring an integrated approach to client care that encompasses a range of mental health services. • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, while utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient management. • Participate actively in ongoing professional education and training to continuously improve and adapt your counseling practices. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals and families facing various mental health challenges with a focus on underserved populations. We strive to provide support and therapeutic services to those who may have limited access to care, including individuals dealing with trauma, substance misuse, and familial issues. Qualifications • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California. • Minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, preferably in a telehealth environment. • Strong understanding of legal and ethical guidelines in mental health counseling. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. • Experience with EMR software and technology in a clinical setting. Preferred Experience • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling is highly desirable. • Experience in a remote consultation or telehealth setting is advantageous for adapting quickly to our practice environment.
