Job Summary
The LVN Medical Practice Supervisor assists the Manager or Director with supervision of department operations and staff to maximize office efficiency and workflow. The successful candidate will perform various procedures associated with routine patient encounters, work closely with department leadership and other members of the office team to troubleshoot and resolve problems, and maintain positive relationships with patients, practitioners, management, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise department operations and staff to ensure efficient workflow and maximize office productivity
- Perform various procedures associated with routine patient encounters, including vital signs, injections, and medical record documentation
- Work closely with department leadership and other members of the office team to troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Maintain positive relationships with patients, practitioners, management, and staff
- Assist with staff training and development to ensure excellent patient care and customer service
- Participate in quality control and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care
- Utilize computerized practice management and electronic health record (EHR) systems, Windows, word processing, and spreadsheets
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Current California LVN Licensure
- Current CPR card
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Ability to maintain composure and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership experience (i.e., charge nurse, team lead)
- Knowledge of computerized practice management and electronic health record (EHR) systems, Windows, word processing, and spreadsheets
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to motivate department staff to achieve goals and establish effective working relationships
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in a supervisory role in an ambulatory clinical setting
