Job Summary: Part-Time Sales Associate
As a Part-Time Sales Associate at Journeys, you'll play a critical role in delivering a fun and memorable shopping experience for our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting and exceeding store and personal sales goals and standards of performance
- Performing all Operation/Loss Prevention procedures accurately according to policies
- Maintaining store appearance and stockroom organization to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Effectively communicating all store needs to store management to drive success
- Staying informed of current fashion trends to provide expert advice to customers
- Completing all point of sale functions as required to drive sales and process transactions
- Providing a fun, full-service experience to all customers – be friendly, helpful, and engaging!
- Completing all required training to develop your skills and knowledge
- Understanding and demonstrating the Journeys culture to embody our brand values
Requirements: What We're Looking For
To succeed as a Part-Time Sales Associate at Journeys, you'll need:
Essential Qualifications:
- Prior retail sales experience (preferred but not required)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment – juggling multiple tasks and customers at once
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills – be friendly, approachable, and helpful
- Desire to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment – driven to achieve sales goals and succeed
- Willingness to learn – eager to develop new skills and knowledge
- Ability to work night and weekend shifts – flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- Ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds – physical demands of the job
- Must be at least 16 years of age* – age requirements may vary based on state
