As a UX Designer at OnBrand, you'll be part of a growing design team that collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to develop groundbreaking ideas and end-to-end experiences across digital channels. You'll work closely with product managers, creative teams, and technical experts to translate business opportunities, research, and creative vision into tangible results that meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform ideas, business opportunities, research, and creative vision into substantial results that provide clear, usable, valuable, and advantageous outcomes for clients.
- Participate in client discovery meetings, design thinking, and journey/empathy mapping to understand client pain points and develop solutions.
- Utilize analytical skills and strategic perspective to identify trends and suggest solutions that improve the client experience.
- Provide the client experience perspective to American Express product partners and collaborate with them to determine their understanding needs and develop strategies that align with their product roadmap.
- Help ideate and create innovative ideas that meet business targets and requirements while assisting clients in achieving their goals.
- Communicate future-thinking, client-centered designs and work closely with creative, product, business, strategy, and technical teams from conception to launch and beyond.
- Ensure quality and consistency of UX expectations, including developing site maps, process flows, wireframes, functional specifications, and preparing and leading client validation and usability testing sessions.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a design-related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in Client Experience, Interaction Design, or Product Management (preferred).
- Strong understanding of the UX work process and agile, collaborative interactions.
- Client-first mentality with a balance of design needs and business acumen.
- Ability to streamline complex interactions into intuitive client experiences.
- Knowledge of various subjective research methods and tools, such as usability testing and remote testing.
- Experience with designing client journeys, identifying pain points, and developing solutions to address client issues.
- Excellent relational skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Experience in data design, interface design, flowcharting, storyboarding, human factors, or human-computer interaction and usability.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Figma, Sketch/Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office product suite.
- Knowledge of responsive design, versatile interfaces, and content management systems.
- Familiarity with design thinking, ideating, and solutioning, fast prototyping, and empathy/journey mapping.
- Ability to work independently in product cases or within a larger team and proactively seek to socialize and review work.
