The Accounting Clerk is a highly valued member of the Fiore Finance team and a key component to the success of the company who performs various clerical, bookkeeping, and accounting assignments. The Accounting Clerk handles the preparation of routine administrative paperwork, including payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable documents, and updates existing financial records and reports. The Accounting Clerk is highly skilled in various computer and accounting software and is responsible for data entry and information management in our systems.
TOTAL COMPENSATION
$18.27 to $24.04 per hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Required:
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time, including uneven terrain on work sites when needed. Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, list, carry, push, and/or pull 25 lbs occasionally for filing and storage access, etc. Ability to maneuver paperwork and use a computer screen for extended durations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily office-based work with varying temperatures and extended screen time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages, organizes, and files Accounts Payable documents
- Performs regular data entry into the accounting software
- Matches invoices to purchase orders, packing slips, and supplier statements
- Reconciles monthly credit card transactions
- Files necessary financial documentation and manages organizational systems
- Generates summary sheets to be used by supervisor or auditor.
- Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy.
- Reconciles various expenditure reports to source documents; distributes and files financial documents and reports.
- Prepares routine entries and posts financial transactions; reconciles entries and internal ledgers to financial reporting system reports
- Researches processing problems, contacts departments and vendors to resolve problems and expedite payment, and responds to inquiries by telephone or in writing; refers complex problems for solution
- Assists in preparation of financial statements such as billings, budgets, and cost reports as assigned
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required:

- Experienced in Accounts Payable practices and generating necessary financial reports.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and cash management principles and procedures.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Knowledge of office practices and clerical/accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of and experience with various accounting software programs.
- 2 year degree with a focus on Accounting or Finance or equivalent years of experience in the field
- Knowledge of and experience with various accounting software programs
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable practices and standards
