We are seeking an experienced and passionate Vocational Nursing On Ground Instructor - Adjunct to join our team in Riverside, CA. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students, helping them achieve program and course objectives. If you have a strong background in vocational nursing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging and informative instruction to students, maintaining an organized and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to ensure students meet program and course objectives.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment, encouraging students to ask questions, explore concepts, and develop critical thinking skills.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues and program directors to ensure curriculum alignment and program effectiveness.
- Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, incorporating this knowledge into instruction and program development.
Essential Qualifications:
Education and Credentials:
- Associate's degree or higher in a related area of study (ACCSC).
- Current CA license as RN or VN.
- Completion of a course offered by an approved program to certify competency in teaching adult learners.
Experience:
- 5 years of healthcare-related professional experience, including a minimum of 2 years of experience as a RN or VN within the last 5 years.
- At least one or more of the following:
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited school.
- Valid Teaching Credential.
- Completion of 1 year full-time teaching experience in a state-accredited or approved RN, VN program within the last 5 years.
- Meets CA community college or state university teaching requirements.
Skills and Competencies:
- Understanding of education environments, including the needs of adult learners.
- Ability to provide a positive and effective learning environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of professional career paths for which students are enrolled.
- Motivation, dedication, and enthusiasm for teaching.
- Good organization and communication skills.
