As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining payroll systems and processing paychecks according to schedule and in the
correct amount. Duties include consolidating timesheet information and entering data into payroll databases, calculating paycheck amounts, and distributing funds to employee accounts.

The main responsibilities of a Payroll Specialist include:
- Verify and correct timesheets for accuracy
- Entering data into databases and spreadsheets
- Handling direct deposit requests and benefit deduction changes
- Processing paystubs and w-9/1099 for distribution
- Acquiring all necessary officer and manager signatures to distribute payroll
- Processing wage garnishments and child support orders
- Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses, and commission
- Calculation of overtime
- Answer staff inquiries regarding their paychecks or paid time off balances
To apply for the role, you must have the following:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional mathematical and calculation skills
- Verbal and written communication
- Ability to work with a team
- Knowledge of payroll software. Gusto, Quickbooks Time and Rippling administration experience or certification highly desired
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll, garnishments, and benefits distribution
- Multitasking abilities
- Inter
- A Certified Payroll Professional certification is required or an associate or bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is preferred.
