About the Role: Customer Support and Data Entry Specialist
This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. As a Customer Support and Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting our patients, prescribers, and partners through exceptional customer service and accurate data entry. Under the general supervision of our operational program leadership, you'll work in a fast-paced environment, handling inbound and outbound customer service inquiries, reviewing and assessing incoming referrals, and ensuring seamless data entry into our database system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming customer service inquiries from patients, prescribers, insurance companies, external partners, or internal partners via telephone, resolving problems in a timely and professional manner.
- Create and/or edit patient records in our database system, ensuring accurate demographics, insurance information, and prescription data from incoming referrals.
- Initiate outbound telephone calls to patients and prescribers to collect additional information, explain benefit investigation outcomes, or follow up on non-responsive patients.
- Attach incoming facsimile images to patient records and generate letters and brochures for patients, prescribers, or partners as needed.
- Identify and escalate concerns received from patients, prescribers, partners, or insurance companies, ensuring prompt corrective action.
- Document all interactions associated with patient records into our database system, maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to production and turnaround standards.
- Report all Adverse Events (AE) disclosed in alignment with training and Standard Operational Procedures (SOP).
- Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to changing priorities and responsibilities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of experience in a highly skilled and fast-paced call center environment, preferably in Specialty Pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), Commercial Insurance, or Patient Assistance Programs.
- Detail-oriented with good analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate with others at all levels.
- Ability to multi-task, independently prioritize, and meet deadlines in a high call volume environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to type at least 35 words per minute and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience in a similar industry or role.
