About the Role Our client, a forward-thinking educational organization based in Chicago, Illinois, US , is seeking an innovative Mathematics Curriculum Developer. This role is vital in designing and refining mathematics curricula for K-12 education, ensuring alignment with national and state standards and incorporating modern pedagogical approaches. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to create engaging, effective, and accessible learning materials that empower students to develop strong mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills. This position is fully remote, offering flexibility and the ability to contribute from anywhere. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and revise mathematics curriculum frameworks and lesson plans for various grade levels (K-12). Create high-quality instructional materials, including textbooks, workbooks, digital resources, and assessments. Ensure curriculum alignment with Common Core State Standards and other relevant educational benchmarks. Research and incorporate best practices in mathematics education and educational technology. Collaborate with subject matter experts, teachers, and instructional designers to ensure content accuracy and pedagogical soundness. Develop engaging and effective assessment tools to measure student learning and program effectiveness. Provide professional development materials and support to educators implementing the curriculum. Stay current with trends and advancements in mathematics education and curriculum development. Manage multiple curriculum development projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines effectively. Requirements Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Curriculum Development, or a closely related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development, preferably in mathematics education. Proven track record of creating successful K-12 mathematics curricula. Deep understanding of mathematical concepts and pedagogical principles across all grade levels. Expertise in educational standards (e.g., Common Core) and assessment design. Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning platforms. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in instructional design is a plus.
