The Genomics Sales Director is responsible for the overall health and performance of the assigned region, developing sales strategies, and meeting sales goals while educating the market on Fulgent's offerings.
Responsibilities

- Maintain an elevated level of technical and market expertise and educate the market on proper utilization and acceptance of Fulgent's products and services
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the capabilities of Fulgent's technologies
- Strong scientific and technical aptitude to deliver technical presentations, scientific discussions, seminars/webinars, and product demonstrations
- Strong Salesforce CRM knowledge and daily commitment
- Acquire market intelligence and feedback and provide the information to your direct manager
- Develop and foster strong working relationships with customers, prospects, and business partners
- Actively gather content for the marketing team for applications notes, web content and new applications
Skills
- BS or MS degree required with preference given to candidates with a degree in the life sciences
- One to two (1 – 2) years of successful clinical, diagnostics, or biotech sales experience
- A verifiable record of sales accomplishments that shows competency in meeting sales goals, negotiations, and selling to customer needs
- Experience in dealing with a range of senior stakeholders
- Self-directed with strong work ethics and initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrably good at working within multicultural, geographically dispersed teams
- Strong ownership skills
- Salesforce CRM competence
- Ability to interpret and explain policies, procedures, rules and/or regulations to clinicians and the public
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy to establish and maintain cooperative relationships when dealing with the needs, problems, and/or concerns of clinicians, the public, and/or outside agencies
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Experience calling on Children's Hospitals and academic institutions in the rare diseases market preferred
- Strong preference will be given to candidates with sales experience specifically in rare diseases, genetics, and genomics
