AppLab Systems, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior PeopleSoft Financial Technical Consultant with extensive experience in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) solutions. The role requires hands-on development experience and technical leadership to deliver scalable and high-performance financial solutions in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) applications and modules
- Develop technical solutions using PeopleCode, Application Engine (AE), SQR, COBOL, Application Packages, Component Interfaces, BI Publisher, and Integration Broker
- Build and support integrations between PeopleSoft and third-party enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, XML, and JSON
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle stored procedures, views, triggers, and database objects
- Customize pages, components, records, menus, portals, and workflows within the PeopleSoft environment
- Perform system analysis, troubleshoot production issues, and provide timely technical resolutions
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions
- Develop interfaces for Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, Procurement, Billing, Project Costing, and other Financial modules
- Lead technical upgrades, patch implementations, PeopleTools upgrades, and application enhancements
- Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices
- Optimize application performance through SQL tuning and system performance analysis
- Support data migration, conversion, and ETL activities during implementation and upgrade projects
- Create technical design documents, interface specifications, deployment guides, and support documentation
- Participate in system testing, integration testing, UAT support, and production deployments
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across project teams
- Coordinate with DBAs, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless system operations
- Support security configuration, role management, and compliance initiatives within PeopleSoft Financials
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills
- Strong expertise in PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) technical development
- Extensive experience with PeopleTools 8.5x or later
- Advanced knowledge of PeopleCode
- Advanced knowledge of Application Engine (AE)
- Advanced knowledge of SQR
- Advanced knowledge of COBOL
- Advanced knowledge of Component Interfaces
- Advanced knowledge of Application Packages

- Familiarity with security architecture, roles, and permission lists
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Git, version control systems, and DevOps practices
