They are seeking a Public Affairs Consultant to monitor and analyze complex regulatory developments and provide actionable insights for decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, track, and analyze regulatory, legislative, and government affairs developments across local, national, and international jurisdictions
- Conduct original research and produce in-depth briefs, memos, and reports on client and institutional priorities
- Develop and maintain subject-matter expertise in one or more priority regions or issue areas
- Synthesize complex regulatory and geopolitical information into clear briefings for senior leadership and client-facing teams
- Support the design and delivery of client presentations, workshops, and briefing sessions
- Build and maintain relationships with external experts, government contacts, and subject-matter specialists
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5–15+ years in government affairs, policy research, strategic communications, or related advisory work
- Strong research, analysis, and writing skills under deadline pressure
- Solid grasp of legislative, regulatory, and institutional decision-making processes
- Comfortable working independently across time zones with distributed teams
- Sound judgment handling sensitive/confidential information
- Regional expertise in Asia-Pacific, North America, or Europe
- Experience at a research institute, advisory firm, government office, or international organization
- Fluency in a second language relevant to client base
- Existing network of government, industry, or academic contacts
