They are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer & Developer to own the design strategy for a massive enterprise modernization initiative, focusing 75% on design and 25% on development.
Responsibilities
- Drive Design Strategy: Lead a multi-year redesign of high-traffic legacy web portals
- UX Discovery: Conduct stakeholder interviews, user research, personas, and usability testing
- Scale Systems: Develop and maintain enterprise design systems and component libraries
- Build UI: Design and build responsive, accessible (WCAG/ADA) interfaces primarily using Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Collaborate & Mentor: Partner with cross-functional Agile teams and mentor junior designers
Skills
- 6+ years of professional UI/UX design and web/mobile development experience
- Advanced proficiency with Figma and design system management
- Front-end skills in JavaScript Frameworks, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Proven track record in user research, information architecture, and responsive design
- Solid understanding of ADA/WCAG accessibility standards
- Bachelor's degree (prefer HCI, UX Design, Computer Science, or a related field)
- Must reside in EST or CST
- Travel once a year to corporate office for team building
- Open to Direct Hire OR Contract-to-Hire (6 months)
