Walk the Talk Foundation (WtTF) is seeking a Volunteer Marketing & Communications Lead to help amplify their mission of advocating for service members and veterans. The role involves developing communications strategies, managing social media presence, and creating impactful content to raise awareness and support for the foundation's advocacy work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a communications strategy across social media, email, and press outreach
- Manage and grow our presence on platforms like LinkedIn
- Create content (posts, newsletters, case study summaries) that highlights our impact and advocacy work
- Support media relations and help pitch stories to journalists and podcasts
- Help develop messaging for fundraising campaigns and policy initiatives
- Advise on branding consistency across materials
Skills
- Experience in nonprofit marketing, communications, PR, or journalism
- Strong writing skills; comfort translating complex policy/legal issues for a general audience
- Self-starter comfortable working remotely with a lean team
- Passion for justice, accountability, and supporting those who serve
- Familiarity with military, veteran, or government accountability spaces a plus
