Role Overview – Senior Product Designer, Customer Experience
As a senior member of the Customer Experience & Integrity (CXI) Design team, you will own the end‑to‑end design of critical customer‑facing experiences across the entire careerzynith marketplace. This includes the consumer app, merchant portal, and Dasher (courier) interfaces. You will partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex pain points into elegant, high‑impact solutions that drive satisfaction and measurable business outcomes.
What You’ll Do – Core Responsibilities
- Lead the design vision: Define and articulate a compelling product strategy for new and existing CX initiatives, guiding cross‑functional teams from concept through launch.
- Run design sprints: Facilitate rapid‑prototype workshops that surface insights, validate assumptions, and accelerate decision‑making.
- Craft user journeys: Map and analyze the full lifecycle of consumers, merchants, and Dashers to uncover friction points and opportunities for delight.
- Produce high‑fidelity deliverables: Create detailed wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished visual designs that communicate intent clearly to engineering and product partners.
- Storytelling & advocacy: Build persuasive narratives that align stakeholders around user needs, business goals, and design rationale.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally: Work hand‑in‑hand with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and research teams to iterate on solutions, incorporate feedback, and ensure feasibility.
- Measure impact: Define success metrics, track performance post‑launch, and iterate based on quantitative and qualitative data.
- Mentor junior designers: Share best practices, provide constructive feedback, and help raise the overall design maturity of the CXI team.
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional product design experience, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates end‑to‑end ownership of complex, multi‑platform products.
- Proven ability to solve ambiguous, high‑impact problems and translate them into clear, actionable design solutions.
- Deep expertise in the full design process: research, strategy, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Exceptional visual craftsmanship—attention to detail, typography, color, and layout that elevates the overall experience.
- Experience designing for both B2C and B2B audiences, ideally within a marketplace or logistics context.
- Strong communication skills: ability to present ideas confidently to senior leadership and to influence without authority.
- Proficiency with industry‑standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite) and prototyping platforms (e.g., InVision, Axure, ProtoPie).
- Data‑driven mindset: comfortable interpreting analytics, A/B test results, and user research to inform design decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on customer support, fraud prevention, trust & safety, or internal tooling products.
- Background in motion design or micro‑interactions that enhance feedback loops for users.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and a track record of building inclusive experiences.
- Hands‑on experience with design systems and component libraries, ensuring consistency at scale.
- Previous work in a fast‑growing tech company or startup environment where rapid iteration is the norm.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strategic thinking: Ability to see the big picture while diving deep into granular details.
- Collaboration: Comfortable partnering with diverse teams, synthesizing feedback, and building consensus.
- Problem‑solving: Strong analytical skills to break down complex user problems into manageable design tasks.
- Empathy: Deep understanding of user motivations, frustrations, and aspirations across three distinct personas (consumer, merchant, Dasher).
- Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities shift and new challenges emerge daily.
- Leadership: Influence product direction, mentor peers, and champion design excellence across the organization.
